How damage deposits are held and released on RideSetter.

Holding a deposit
Hosts may require a damage deposit per listing. The deposit amount is shown at checkout and held by the platform during the rental.
Releasing the deposit
After a clean return inspection, the deposit is released to the renter. If damage is reported, the host submits documentation and the deposit may be applied toward repair costs per the host's terms.
Disputes
Either party may dispute a deposit decision through RideSetter support, which reviews submitted evidence before issuing a final determination.
